Today…

My best friend ran away.

She called me.

Told me she was safe.

She told me she was a big girl.

She said that she was able to make her own decisions.

I cooked dinner for my ‘other family’

When I took it over her/my mother gave me hug.

She said with tears in her eyes.

“All I can do is give her to God. She was His daughter before she was ever mine”

Hearing that come from her was heart breaking.
